January 2023 two climate requirements for new construction entered into force in the Building Regulations. If you are going to build a new heated building, you are responsible for complying with the requirements.
- The climate impacts of new construction must be documented with a climate calculation (i.e. a life cycle assessment, LCA) in connection with the completion notification of the construction
- New construction over 1000 m2 must comply with a limit value of 12.0 kg CO2 equivalent/m2/year.
